Venice Historian Banned from Selling Book
Los Angles police will not allow Jeffrey
Stanton’s excellent book about Venice history, Venice California: Coney
Island of the Pacific, to be sold on our Beach.
Stanton, who has been of fixture on the
Boardwalk for decades, has been threatened with arrest if he attempts to sell
his book, old Venice postcards that he has uncovered, or his handmade map of
Venice.
